Chain Stitch
A chain stitch is a simple crochet stitch that consists of a series of loops that lock together to form a chain-like pattern. It is a stitch that can be used to form curves and free-flowing patterns and is often used in surface embroidery.
Traditionally chain stitch embroidery was distinctively created by the Chinese using silk thread.
Chain Stitch is also a term used in rug making. when used in rug making, a chain stitch consists of successive loops to lock the final weft in place at the end of a rug.
